"In what ways do green nudges impact the purchasing patterns of Urban Indian middle-class consumers in the organic food market?"

Under the expert mentorship of Philip Chijui Liang from the University of Chicago, I embarked on a groundbreaking exploration of the influence of "green nudges" on the purchasing behaviors of urban middle-class consumers in India. This endeavor entailed conducting extensive quantitative primary research, which culminated in a paper that has been published in the international journal Empty Journal of Business & Management (OJBM), Volume 11, No. 4, in July 2023. OJBM has an acceptance rate of 15% for High Schoolers.

Furthermore, I'm thrilled to share that my work was chosen to be featured as a chapter in one of the fastest-growing platforms for Academic Research Books, BP International. You can find this chapter in the book "An Overview of Business, Management, and Economics Research."

YOUNG LEADERS FOR ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP (YLAC) -

AWARDED EMERGING RESEARCHER

In 2022, I had the privilege to participate in the Young Leaders for Active Citizenship (YLAC) program, a selective youth-led, month-long program designed to enhance youth involvement in policymaking and foster global discussions on critical issues.

During this program, I was honored with the 'Emerging Researcher' award from a cohort of 50 students. Together with my peers, I co-authored a paper titled "Impact of Single-Use Plastic on Local Communities in India." Our research delved deep into the manufacturing, usage, and disposal of single-use plastics (SUP) while also scrutinizing the role of stakeholders in the industry.

One of the most exciting aspects of this project was the opportunity to interview a prominent global stakeholder, RePurpose Global, to gain invaluable insights into Indian government policy. Building on this knowledge, we developed practical recommendations by drawing inspiration from successful initiatives in countries such as Indonesia and Brazil. These recommendations were subsequently presented to RePurpose Global.

The study has been published in the International Journal of Scientific Research in Science, Engineering, and Technology (IJSRSET), Volume 9, Issue 9, in October 2022.

COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY SUMMER PROGRAM: Natural Resources, Global Markets, Social Impact

This was a one-week summer program by Columbia University, wherein I worked with a cohort of 20 students from around the world and an instructor Sue A. Aguilar. Using case studies, we discussed various pressing topics such as the SDG goals and their importance in the development of industries like fossil fuels, mining, oil and agriculture. We also looked into the Economics of sustainable resource allocation, such as how to allocate land, labour, capital and enterprise efficiently, and debated on methods we could use to ensure the same. The program culminated with a final group project whereby we devised methods to complete the transaction and delivery of 60,000 tons of Cobalt for the ever-growing EV sector. I also received a certificate and a Letter of Recommendation from the instructor.
