INTERNSHIPS

I will take you through two incredible internship experiences over two summers. These opportunities allowed me to apply my knowledge in the real world and contribute to meaningful projects.

Pathfinder International (YUVAA, funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation) - 2023

In 2023, I had the privilege to intern with Pathfinder International, working on the YUVAA project, which was funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. This project aimed to blend social entrepreneurship with innovative Social and Behavioral Change Communications (SBCC) approaches to enhance access to contraceptive choices and family planning services for young couples in two Indian states.

During my internship, I received special recognition from Pathfinder International's Country Director, which further fueled my commitment to the project. I actively participated in the following:

  • Ideated SBCC strategies and discussed social entrepreneurship models to improve people's sexual and reproductive health.

  • Authored a blog post titled "Revolutionizing Behavior Change: A Comparative Analysis of Pathfinder International's YUVAA Project and Other Leading SBCC Initiatives." This analysis compared the YUVAA model with initiatives of other prominent organizations in the field.

  • Authored an internal report titled "National Conclave on Addressing Contraceptive Choices of Young People: YUVAA Learnings and Sharing" following my involvement in the National Conclave, where I engaged in conversations with key organizations like the Family Pamily Association of India (FPAI) and UNFPA.

  • As a special invitee, I had the honor of participating in the National Conclave on YUVAA - Learnings and Sharing session, engaging with National Policy makers, think tank representatives, and grassroots workers on the 28th of June, 2023.

Summer Intern, SAKHA-EK-PEHEL: 2022 - 2023

In 2022, I embarked on an internship journey with SAKHA-EK-PEHEL, a non-profit organization in Nithari Village, Noida, dedicated to empowering women to achieve financial independence through crochet, knitting, and handloom skills.

During this internship, I had several noteworthy accomplishments:

  • I was honored as the youngest selected brand ambassador of SAKHA and featured in national newspapers like Dainik Jagran and The Royal Bulletin.

  • I conceptualized and led a new sales initiative, resulting in record sales of products worth INR 70,000 (USD 840) in a single day. Additionally, I managed inventory and stock for an entire month.

  • I gained invaluable insights into setting up a small business from scratch, calculating the cost of production, and managing raw materials in-store.

  • I played a crucial role in creating effective social media strategies for Instagram and Facebook, significantly contributing to the expansion of the consumer base.

  • At the International Round Square Conference, I had the privilege of presenting Sakha's inspiring story and detailing my contributions to a diverse and engaged audience.

  • These internships were not only enlightening but also allowed me to contribute positively to projects that align with my values and passions. I invite you to explore further to learn more about these remarkable experiences. Thank you for your interest, and feel free to reach out for any questions or discussions.
